Sunday Worship

All are welcome to join us for Sunday worship in-person or livestreamed on YouTube at

8:00 a.m. Traditional-Language Holy Communion in English

In the beautiful English language inspired by the Elizabethan era, the 8 o’clock Holy Communion service is a small, quiet, spoken service of about 45 minutes. Afterwards, fellowship continues at a local coffee shop. All are welcome and newcomers are encouraged. Service also available on YouTube.

9:00 a.m. Sung Eucharist in French

This is a Eucharist in modern French. An organist plays and we sing hymns every Sunday, but there is no choir at this service.  Available on YouTube.

After the service, join us in the Undercroft (church basement) for coffee hour. Besides that, join us every other week for Pain, partage, prière, an interactive Bible study, also in the Undercroft.

10:30 a.m. Sung Eucharist mostly in English

This is a Eucharist in contemporary language. Most of the service is in English, but some readings will be in French. The bulletin for this service is fully bilingual, so you can fall back on the translations if you get lost during part of the service. This Eucharist features the Cathedral Choir (from September through May). Depending on the Sunday,  you might hear anything from a Latin motet from the 1600s to a mass setting by a contemporary Canadian composer. The congregation also joins in several hymns.  Available on YouTube.

Everyone is welcome to join us for coffee hour featuring fair-trade coffee after the service.

4:00 p.m. Choral Evensong

Evensong is a traditional, sung prayer service for the evening. Our weekly Evensong features music from the choir and readings from Scripture. Join us to listen and reflect as the choir sings beautiful, prayerful melodies.  This is broadcast on YouTube or on Radio VM.  Please note there is no Choral Evensong on the Sundays after Christmas and Easter, and from June until the second Sunday of September.

6:00 p.m. Cathedral@6 Ecumenical Eucharist  (St. Martha's Chapel)

Casual, welcoming worship offered by the young adults of the McGill Chaplaincy to all who wish an evening time to pray. Offered the first and third Sundays of each month in term time.  Check the Cathedral calendar.
