The Rev’d Dr. Deborah Meister

Deborah is a priest and monastic who is passionate about the intersection between spirituality and justice. She has served as rector of three parishes in the United States, with a focus on multicultural urban ministry.

A founding member of Montreal Anglicans for Racial Justice and Equity (the Anti-Racism Task Force of our Diocese), she believes that the grace of God, warmly embraced, will propel us into lives of solidarity and active compassion.

In addition to her work with adult formation, liturgy, and pastoral care, she is the liaison for the Ecological and Social Justice Action Group.

Beyond our walls, she is active as a spiritual director and retreat leader; in her spare time, she enjoys cooking, music, hiking, art, and is the devoted servant of a ridiculously large dog.
