The Christ Church Cathedral Choir is one of Canada’s leading liturgical choirs, supporting the busy schedule of cathedral and diocesan services throughout the year. The choir sings at our 10:30am Eucharist and 4:00pm Choral Evensong, the latter of which is broadcast live on 91.3 FM Radio Ville-Marie, Facebook, and YouTube. They also sing a host of special services throughout the year, such as Advent Lessons and Carols, Christmas Lessons and Carols, a Requiem for All Souls, and diocesan celebrations. Their repertoire spans the entire breadth of Christian music from Renaissance polyphony to the avant-garde. All music at the Cathedral, whether congregational, choral, or instrumental, represents the diversity of our congregation and the broader Anglican Communion.
The music department is headed by Dr. Nicholas Capozzoli, a prize winner at the Canadian International Organ Competition and widely recognised as one of his generation’s leading organists.
Our choir is a welcoming and dedicated group comprised of both volunteer and professional singers. If you are interested in joining, click here to learn more about the commitment and how to arrange an informal audition.
