Music is an important part of worship at the Contemporary Service at 6:00pm, just as it is at our other services.

To provide good quality sound at this service we need to raise about $4,200 for new sound equipment. This equipment will also serve the wider Cathedral community by improving the facilities we provide for concert rentals and Oasis performers.

Many of us probably find our pockets heavy with loose change by the end of the day. If 50 of us each put aside a loonie every day, we will pay for the new equipment in about three months.  Some may be able to give more, some less, but if we all pitch in what we can we will reach our goal quickly.

We are one community, one body in Christ, dedicated to the worship of God in fellowship, to the preaching of the Word, and to witnessing to the presence of Christ in downtown Montreal. Let us all work together.

How to contribute:

  • E-transfer to [email protected]  Specify the Music at 6 Fund in the comment section of the e-transfer.
  • Donate online at Canada Helps. Choose the Music at 6 Fund option.
  • In the offertory at any of our services. Put your contribution in an envelope, mark as “other” and specify that it is for the Music at 6 Fund.
  • Hand your bag of change to Peggy Simpson at coffee time – make sure your name is on it and she will count and roll it and give it to Elizabeth, our bookkeeper, to deposit in the Music at 6 Fund.

For donations totalling $20 or more over the year, you will receive a tax receipt – meaning that the government will end up paying part of your contribution.

P.S. If you are impatient, simply calculate what your pockets will generate over three months and write a cheque to the Cathedral. Specify that it is for the Music at 6 Fund.
