The music program reflects the diversity and creativity of our Cathedral liturgies, from the regular Sunday morning Eucharist, high festivals and seasons of the Church’s year and traditional Book of Common Prayer Choral Evensong which is broadcast each Sunday on Radio Ville Marie.

Sharing God’s gift of music gives glory to God in worship and enriches the lives of all who visit the Cathedral, building upon a long-standing tradition of excellence and providing music opportunities for people of all ages.

The Cathedral Choir comprises eight professional singers and another twenty volunteer singers. They sing a wide range of music from many centuries, and specialize in music from the 16th and 17th centuries and modern music from the 20th Century, especially music by modern Canadian composers.  The music for the following Sunday can be found on the Christ Church Cathedral Music Calendar.

The full or half-choir regularly sings at the 10am Sunday morning Eucharist and at the 4pm Choral Evensong, and a quartet of professional singers sing at the 12.45pm French language Eucharist and at weekday Eucharists on major feast days at 12.15pm.

If you are interested in becoming a member of the Cathedral Choir, please contact the interim Directors of Music Nicholas Capozzoli and Robert Hamilton
