Lovely service, saw so many familiar faces from when I was first the Dean’s secretary, and then in charge of publicity. I was the 1st Soprano lead during Gerald Wheeler’s tenure, and then was a member of Patrick Wedd’s Musica Orbium. My only comment is that I feel there should be better lighting on the speaker’s face during his – or her – sermon. I am looking forward to Choral Evensong and the reading out of names – especially my late husbands’ names I have submitted. I grew up with and still prefer the Prayer Book liturgies, which is why I am now attending the Church of St John the Evangelist – but still feel quite at home at CCC thanks to Zoom!
Hi Carolyn, from one of those familiar faces! There is supposed to be a spotlight lighting the pulpit. I cannot recall if it was turned on or not during this service. I will check at the next service I attend. Jane
