Letter sent to members of the Cathedral community in late August Dear Friends,
Welcome back from what was hopefully a relaxing and refreshing summer. As some of you may know, your Parish Search Committee has been meeting regularly over the last two months to work on the Parish Profile. The Parish Profile is essentially a job description for our next Dean. It's designed to give prospective candidates an idea of who we are and who we hope to be. Now, we've managed to fill out most of the objective data and statistics required for the profile. But your participation is crucial for the rest. We need to hear your thoughts, your ideas, and your hopes for the future of the community. To this end, we've organized three consultation meetings to be held at Fulford Hall on the following dates:
- Sunday, September 13th, 12 - 3 pm (please bring your lunch - and coins for the parking meters!) - Wednesday, September 23rd, 6:30 - 9:00 pm - Tuesday, September 29th, 6:30 - 9:00 pm Our hope is that everyone in the parish will be able to make it to one of these meetings. However if you can't, don't worry - you can always contact us directly to share your point of view. [Still to come on the website - contact information for all the committee members]We look forward to hearing what you have to say. Yours in Christ, The Parish Search Committee
The Parish Questionnaire: if you cannot make one of the above meetings, you are welcome to fill in this questionnaire. The deadline is October 10, 2009.
